Trying to load WinXP - Tablet Edition... Not Bootable. I need to find out if Tablet OS is an add-on to normal WinXP or is my ISO is DOA.

So... if you have a tablet PC, can you check and see if the CD is bootable... if so, let me know.

Has anyone else re-installed a Tablet PC?

I need this info SOON so I can start this install.

Its an addon that comes in two parts.

You boot the initial first CD just as a Windows XP home/pro cd and during install it will prompt you to load the second CD with the tablet components :)

After that... install the drivers for the digitiser and so on... :)

Hmmmm...... This Tablet is a gateway and I'm switching the OS over to Coperate License version so we can manage it better. I have WinXP pro (Volume) and an ISO for the WinXP Tablet...

I install XP normally and it knows (during the install) that I need the a "Tablet" disk? Will my custom WinXP (unattended install... no interaction from format until first logon) still work?

Nope, it's installed as part of the installation.. you would need to hack around the silent installation file and make sure all files from both CDs are copied onto hard disk first.

Best google for that, never did it with my tablet PC.

I'll try changing it from unattended to attended but keep some of the customizing and patching stuff... I'll report back.
