:(:scratch: help i keep getting my email server changed in setting incoming keeps changing to 127.0.0.1

    127.0.0.1 is your localhost

    i think we're going to need more information about what software you're using, etc.

    hi baron im new to this computer lark but i bought mcfee firewall and other protecting stuff from them it only happens after i restart my comp if i put correct incoming server in the email then works fine would it be from mcfee should i erase it?i dont have a clue what im doing this is my first comp but feel i need to learn what do you mean by software? someone at work said it may be the mcfee what do you think

    What email program are you using? I am assuming that that is what keeps getting changed?

    Chances are your antivirus program or another security program has taken over as a proxy for mail.

    Well if you're not getting any email, my guess is that you have to set up McAfee with the correct email server settings.
