K8T-Neo Mobo Crapped the Bed...

edited June 2005 in Hardware
Hello All,
I am desperate here cause I dont feel like taking my mother board out and sending it back to MSI. I have an athlon 64 3000 processor installed along with 2 512ddr RAM that both work fine.

Here is what happend and what I have done so far:
Yesterday morning before work I shut down my system and 9 hours later when I returned home and tried to turn it on I got nothing. No post, monitor just stayed idle. I took out my memory to see if the system would beep at me, but no deals. I then looked in my manual for the board, and the it came with this UBS PCI card, but it also has four lights on it that are used for debugging, and mine was in the combination telling me my CPU was broken or not installed right...(I knew it was installed right because it worked for 3 months prior) So I took out the processor and brought it over to my friends house who has the same socket 754 and the processor worked fine in his system. I then went back home and tried to reset my CMOS, I did just like other forums said (disconnect power supply, swith jumper, wait 20-30 sec, switch back) Still no deals on the post...Any Suggestions? is it time for an RMA? I didnt change any bios settings or add hardware while I was at work, :) What could have cause this?

Anyway, thank you in adavnce for any help or suggestions you guys can offer
-Matt

You might try another PSU but it sounds like MSI RMA time. Good news is they have turned mine usually in about two weeks time.

    Do the fans come on?

Yeah fans come on, the caselights light up, optical mouse lights up for a second, I think the hard drive might even try to spin a couple times...
