Options

new to the area...smitfraud got me!

hey everyone. I've been looking around for solutions to smitfraud virus. I have done SOME cleaning on the computer...and I have desktop display OPTIONS back...but can't change the display. I downloaded hijacker...but being the computer NON guru that I am I couldn't open it...because it was still zipped??? dunno. Any help please?

    We need to get a look at what's running on your computer in order to help you. Please follow the directions at this link to download a tool called Hijackthis and post a log.

    Hey Buckeye Sam. Thanks for responding. Just a preface - I am NOT computer savvy. I downloaded the hijackthis already but couldn't run/open it. It is a .zip file...how do I open this? Not at my home computer right now so cant' do anything until tonight.

    Download and install Winzip.

    http://www.winzip.com/downwz.htm


    Once you have installed Winzip you will just be able to double click on any zip file and Winzip will unpack for you.
