I am having problems with I believe the below mentioned virus, I would appreciate some assistance, I have tried to follow some of the posted threads to get this cleared up. However my screen is flickering and will not show my wallpaper, but will show icons, but will show when it 1st starts up. please help, this is keeping me from loading and unloading programs for my work due to my fear of contamination.

    There is nothing malicious showing up in your log.

    Please run at least two of these online scans.
    Make sure they are set to clean automatically

    Panda Virus Scan

    Bit Defender

    TrendMicro Housecall

    There will be files that these scans will not remove. Please include that information in your next post.


    Reboot and post a new hijackthis log and the info from your virus scans.

    I ran the Panda scan and the housecall, and then ran the HIJACK,

    I do not know if I may have deleted some files from a virus and possibly did some damage when I was trying to remove the virus using the threads I was going thru, because my desktop will not show my wallpaper, and has a constant flicker, It is almost like when the warning would pop up on my desktop to purchase spyware gold, I got it removed but it may have left something behind. I sure do appreciate the assist.

    For your desktop problem, try this:
    • Click Start>Control Panel>Display
    • Go to the Desktop tab and click on the Customise Desktop button.
    • Go to the Web tab
    • In the web page box, click on the page that is checkmarked and then click the Delete button.
    • Ok your way out of the dialog and check your desktop.
