So what is the dealio of this shizzle? :D

I learned yesterday that PCI-X has a Bandwitdh of only 1066MBps, meanwhile AGP8x Has something like 2100MBps or so. But I hear stories and rumors of PCIX replacing AGP ina year or so, but seeing as how it is slower, I cannot comprehend why you would want this.

Your confusing PCI-X with PCI Express.

ZDNet: All aboard the PCI Express

PCI-X (Parallel Interface) is an updated higher speed version of the PCI 2.2 standard. It allows for either 32/64bit expansion cards operating at 33/66/100/133mhz speeds. It's usually only found in Workstation/Server motherboards

PCI Express (High speed Serial Interface) is a NEW Expansion card interface that will replace both PCI and AGP slots. It's operates at a much higher clock speed and bandwidth than PCI or AGP.

I find it humorous that we go from Seriel to Parrallel becuase of Serial Bottlenecks, but now becuase of Frequency Bottlenecks in a Parallel environment we are going back to Serial for it's faster speeds. :P

I figured I had it wrong, it just didn't make any scence.
