    2.8GHz, 1MB L2 Cache, single core based on the sandiego core last I heard. So this includes SSE3 instructions, 90nm DSL manuf. and the works. I believe the next FX series chip after the FX57 will be dual core based.

    It's based on the San Diego, but binned at 2.8 instead of the FX-55 at 2.6.

    2.9 ghz is impossible as a default cpu speed of the Amd 64 architecture.
