Multithreading BitTorrent Downloads?

Anyone know if theres a way to download the same files from multiple trackers at the same time to get them faster?

    I don't think you can. Atleast I've never heard about it.

    you'd also have to have exactly the same files being hosted on more than one tracker, which rarely happens

    That's what I was thinking at first, but figured it wasn't possible becuase of this exact reasoning.

    There's a feature in TorrentStorm called "Initiate External Announce" that allows you to attempt to get a file of the exact same torrent structure (filename and piece file allocation) from a different tracker provided you know the address. I'm not sure if it accesses both trackers at the same time. I've only used the feature once, it seemed to work.
