DOUG! DOUG!
that IS a 6 right?
I don't think its butt ugly? Then again consider I also raise Newfoundland dogs which can sling 10" long pieces or dog slobber onto the ceiling when they shake their heads so take that recomendation with a grain of salt.

The nautilus, however (which is what that shape is... sorta), is the spitting image of that pattern in some geometrical way. It's also extremely common in nature, like how leaves are spaced apart, and tons of other things. It was mentioned a lot in The DaVinci Code. [/geek]
My guess is they're playing on that idea, the "perfect case," to an extreme level. I agree, though - freakin' ugly. Cool concept (instead of just a box), but ugly.
Edit:
Ok, the number is 1.618054. Here's a lot of information about the nautilus and Phi, if anyone's interested: http://www.gi.alaska.edu/ScienceForum/ASF7/716.html
So there's your little math lesson for today
Id use it if they changed the base. The flat metal base makes it look dorky to me.
Looks funny, but that's all... i don't want a computer case that looks 'funny', i want one that looks nice&sweet... and for my case with the v2000, HUGE !
btw, yes it's cool to see that lian li is 'trying' different things... Even if some of them are weird
wow yeah you're v2000 is really nice. Really expensive though at $235
yeah I kinda like it too. It has an original design to it, so obviously you'd have a case like nobody else's! I wouldn't mind having that.
Wana see expensive try to buy it in canada you can't find one for less then $450cnd.
Lets hope it's not a sign of a downward "spiral" for Lian Li.
ba-dum-ching!
its all aluminum. It weights in about about 10 pounds empty. Ive never built a lian li box that, even fully loaded with crap, weighted half as much as a steel case. We built this one and fully loaded I could carry it with 1 arm.
