Deauthorizing a Computer for iTunes

I screwed up my main rig, and am going to be reformating it, it won't connect to the internet any more becuase of some tweaks that involved uninstalling hidden drivers :D

So yeah, on top of that I can no longer authorize any other computers if I wanted to since it's my last one since I had originally not known that I had to unauthorize my computers before reformating them since I had no clue what it was way back then.

Is there any way I can keep it or deauthorize it? I am still working on getting the internet back before I reformat.

I assume you just de-authorized all your computers. Or is there a way to just de-authorize one?

No, youc an only do one.... hince why I only have one available authorization. I think you can have 3 to 5 usually so you can play back your music on all of them. But it won't allow me to do that anymore.

You can de-authorize them all at the same time if you want, and then only re-authorize the computers you want to be able to play them (you're allowed 5 computers)

If you go into the music store, and click on your e-mail addy next to where it says "account:" you should be able to find the option for de-authorizing them all.

be careful - they only allow you to do that once a year (deauthorize ALL machines).

If you want to deauthorize a single computer, you have to email their support department and explain why you didn't have the chance to deauthorize it before you reinstalled it or whatever. I always just say the same thing: "My hard drive crashed, thus making it impossible to deauthorize" and they write me back a bitchy response "we're not supposed to do this, but we'll deauthorize this one time" but they always do it.

I see where it tells me how many authorized computers I have, but not where I can deauthoruize them....
