Quattro Pro file (8.qpw)

Can anyone suggest a viewer or software application - other than Quattro Pro itself - that can open quattro pro files with the extension *.qpw? I received such a file, from which I need some critical data and it is driving me mad trying to get it to open. Anyone's help again would be appreciated.

Do you have Excel? I think that may open them...

I thought Office programs had the ability to open *.qpw files.

My Excel shows Quattro Pro files as an option, but the extension is .WQ1.

    Dexter...

//EDIT: Looks like you need Office 2003 to be able to do this.

I have tried Excel 2002 SP2 but it does not have the capability to import or open *.QPW files although it can open the *.WQ# files Dexter speaks of.

I did manage to get someone to open it with a viewer (not sure what one) and print it as a *.pdf file for me; a bit more tedious than I would have liked but it will do for now. Thanks to you all.

Sorry we couldn't make it easier for you. The QPW is a newer and more proprietary file, and from the quick research I did I saw that several people have had the same frustration as you.

    Cheers,

the trial of the standard edition of wordperfect office MAY let you open them. I'm not sure tho.
