Well, I finally got my system and im getting ready to POST it. One problem, the eVGA 6800gt has the 6 pin plug in. It comes with an adapter for the 6 pin. It has the 6-pin connector on one end and then 2 molex connectors on the other end. I have the Super Flower 550w. How should i plug this in? My PSU has a special VGA connector, but its a 4pin molex connector. Do i just plug the special VGA molex connector into ONE of the molex connectors on my video card and then just let the other one sit? Please help, thank you.

Your PSU is quite beefy. You should not have a problem using the single connector. I would definatly ensure the 'designed for VGA card' connector is used. I assume they make those dual adapters for use with multiple +12V rails, as you may not be able to get enough juice from a secondary rail.

alright, im gonna wait for a 2nd reply, just in case(not to belittle you or anything, i know your wise ;) ) I just dont want to take a risk. So i should just leave the remaining molex connector unplugged? Also, im POSTing my motherboard on top of my mobo box, its cardboard. Thats alright, isnt it?

I'd agree with Lemonlime. You shouldn't have any problem with hooking it up in the manner he said.

Molex stuff is really hard to screw up.

On the adaptor, are both molex ends female? If so, you should probably plug them both in. If one is male and one is female, you only need to plug in the female. The male would be there for daisy-chaining.
