i recently bought a ne asus p4p800-E mobo along with a new power supply and case. when i turn on the power, it beeps twice in rapid succession and then 6 more times after a little more slowly. then it just stays there. anyone know where i could find out what the sounds indicate?

    What is the BIOS companys name? AMI, Phoenix, Award etc.

    2 quick beeps, I believe, is a memory error. Take this with a grain of salt as I'm going off my memory. :D

    Yeah, you need to know who the bios was made by. there should be a chip soldered onto the mobo with a labeling of one of those comany names. :thumbsup:
