spybot won't run; also can't download hijackthis

Hi, can someone please help me? I'm trying to get this new machine set up with spybot, adaware and hijackthis.

spybot and adaware are downloaded, but spybot won't run, it just freezes up. Also once it freezes up, then adaware won't come up again and also, my computer won't shut down. I have to turn it off by the power button. When it comes backup it works fine unless I try to run spybot again. I have uninstalled and installed spybot several times now.

I wanted to send you a hijackthis log, but can't seem to get it. All I get is a winzip program to "evaluate only". Do we have to buy hijackThis now.

    When you download Hijackthis it is packed into a zip file. You need to use Winzip( or another program) to extract Hijackthis. Winzip will work just fine in evaluation mode.

    boot to safe mode and try running spybot. To get into safe mode tap on F8 as the system is going through POST and then select safe mode
