9500 overclocked to 9700 not booting in my pc.

My 9500/9700 wont boot on my d530 CMT HP computer. But it works in my friends pc, which is the person i got it from. My 9200 worked just fine in my pc. So i was wondering why it will not work. When its in the mobo and i boot, nothing happens besides my pc speaker beeps. If anybody that has an HP should know that if you HDD light is flashing red it means sometihng is wrong. When i read the manual it says the sequences of flashes means i have a bad vid card. But no more than 1 hour before i plugged the 9500/9700 i had it at my friends. So i was wondering what is going on. Ive plugged just one power cord in the vid card to see if it was the power supply but to no avail. Ive looked for bios updates, and nothign. I hope somebody can help me.

First I'd try it in your friends PC again. It might have been killed by ESD.

Then I'd wonder if your PSU is too crappy. HP uses stupidly small PSUs in their systems.
