Wierd Colors?

Hi guys, my friends building his pc, and he got a new motherboard, he isntalled windows on his new hdd, and everything is all good, BUT, movies dont play so great. They play at perfect speed, with perfect sound but they have like 6 colors. How can my friend fix this problem? His computer specs are

120 GB Maxtor DiamondMax Plus IDE HD
Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 128mb
1 GB Kingston PC3200 DDR CL3 ram
Gigabyte P4 Titan GT Motherboard
Intel Pentium 4 2.53 Ghz 533 mhz FSB processor
Windows XP Home SP2
Samsung DVD drive

Edit: Okay, he fixed it, he rolled back to previous drivers, not the newest, and it made it all better.

do you have te video drivers from nvidia installed? thats the most common problem.

Yes, all the drivers are installed, its ONLY on windows Media player that it does it. Everything else works perfectly, the colors are fine.
