i got the bloody instant access i cannot get rid of. anyone help me?

    Please download and install A-Squared. You will have to register with them in order to install the updates, but it's free. Once updated, run a full scan and remove everything that is found.

    A2 found only 5 cookies (one from this forum) to remove. None of them looked to have anything to do with Instant Access. However Since yesterday I deleted a lot of things asocciated with Instant Access from the registry and from HDD (recommendations I found on the Internet).     I also followed these instructions since yesterday:

    The same happenes. I restrat the PC and everything is fine until I connect to Internet and Instant Access gets recreated somehow and again it is on my HDD and in registry. Any ideas?

    Reboot your computer into SAFE MODE


    Please make sure that you can VIEW ALL HIDDEN FILES.

    Place a checkmark next to these entries, close all browsers and windows, and have HijackThis fix them by clicking Fix Checked:

    Run CleanUp that you downloaded and installed earlier.

    Reboot back to normal mode.


    Please download, install, update and scan your system with the free version of Ewido trojan scanner:
    1. When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".
    2. When you run ewido for the first time, you will get a warning "Database could not be found!". Click OK. We will fix this in a moment.
    3. From the main ewido screen, click on update in the left menu, then click the Start update button.
    4. After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful"), click on the Scanner button in the left menu, then click on the Start button. This scan can take quite a while to run, so time to go get a drink and a snack....
    5. If ewido finds anything, it will pop up a notification. You can select "clean" and check the boxes "Perform action with all infections" and "Create encrypted backup" before clicking on OK.
    6. When the scan finishes, click on "Save Report". This will create a text file. Please then paste the contents of the text file to this thread, along with a new HijackThis log.

    I tried that before and it didn't work.

    However I managed to get rid of it. I did the following:

    1. Installed Norton AntiVirus
    2. Followed the instractions on http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/dialer.instantaccess.html

    The difference what I did and what is suggested on the website:

    I scanned and deleted the Instant Access in SAFE mode. Not all of the threts Norton was able to delete so I deleted it manually (one in the Temp Internet folder). Also I had to the the search in the registry for all the keywords and keys (on the link posted) not only on the places it was suggested on the link as they got evrywhere and there are at least 10 times more of them all over the registry.

    It is also important to run CCleaner to get rid of al the temp files and cookies (just in case).

    Finaly something worked. :)
