SM Gaming?

Just looking around the forum when I came across an old thread named UK vs US Unreal Tournament.

To be honest, I didn't read the whole thread. I know that thread is old and the SM LAN 2005 is coming soon but I was hoping if there could be a chance for something like that to happen again? I would have loved to joined in and played with some Short-Medians at UT but I found you guys too late :( ...

Could there be another? Not necessarily UK vs US but maybe a general SM Gaming server or something.

oh yeah, that was a blast.

The biggest problem was logistics - we're like 25% american 25% british 25% canadian and 25% australian. Four seperate nations, and a huge variety of timezones presented challenges just getting everyone to agree on a time and day.

We weren't able to play very long because of the above problem, but what little we did play was a blast.

We'll have to try it again one day.

Though I don't game a whole ton, I'd definitely be up for that. And the DAY I got (actually bought) HL2 the S-M server that we were playing on broke or something. I don't remember the story, I just remember being very upset ;D

We should get together a HL2:DM thing, too.

    Hmm...
according to some quick sharpie on paper action, the following may be correct. inform me otherwise

    5PM Central = 11PM London = 9AM Sydney

It's a little early for those of you in australia, but going any later makes it a little late for UK members.

It was loads of fun, even though the Americans managed to hold us to a draw. :hiding:
Would be nice to do it again though.

Hell yea! Count me in fo sho!

    We should play BF2!!!

If we cant get our own server we should just hop on a pubic one and start our own S-M squads. We would just pwn the whole interweb. Those who have battlefield 2 do you use Xfire? Whats your tag? I currently dont use it, but will if I can hookup with good players to get on a squad with.

In the name of the 4th of July we should play the King's men v. the rebel Americans.
