Do your defrag on a regular basis?


There are some startup programs(04's) that are unnecessary. You can fix these as an option. But don't fix them if you use these programs regularly and want them to run at startup.

Reboot and post a new hijackthis log. Let me know if you have noticed any difference. It's always possible that there's malware that doesn't show up on your log, so let me know if it still doesn't feel right.

Alright I did everything as you instructed, except for the uninstallation of WildTangant because I'm not sure if it's the right thing. In the Add/Remove programs there is WildTangant Web Driver, is that what needs to be uninstalled? Yes I do defragment regularly, why is there a problem? Here is the new log:

Yes, Wild Tangent Web Driver is the one that you want to remove.

The reason that I asked if you defrag is because there's nothing in your log that would cause the problems you indicate. That doesn't mean that you are totally clean, just that I don't see anything here. Is there anything else happening besides a slowdown?

I removed the WildTangent, there's just excessive slowdown with my internet browser, and I have a cable connection.
