my downloads just shot up to 530kb/sec

I don't know what happend with my cable ISP but my downloads just shot up by 25% on speed.

I'm downloading porn movies at over 500kb/sec now for gawds sake. I was lucky to get 400kb/sec before.

    98 percent through with this one and its leveled out at 527kb/sec

    Congrats, and way to go! I usually get some crazy speeds on pr0n too.


    With Bittorrent I would guess pr0n is fast because who's going to come after ya for pr0n piracy? Especially on ratio sites I always feel nice and safe seeding the pr0n, rather than something illeagle.

    Tex, what ISP are you using? I'm on Comcast and the past few months I've noticed a huge spike in download speeds. On average I'm around 550kbps now. I was fixing a computer for a friend on Comcast too and I downloaded Spyware Shooter to his computer at 598kbps!

    I'm in a little town just north of CO springs and the cable ISP is called Adelphia. They are in the process of being bought out by comcast in the next year.

    I was on Time Warner RR and it went from around ~360k to like 600k awhile back. It was awesome. They upgraded their normal service to 6mb and it was great. Looks like you got an extra 1mb down.

    Hmmmm why is mine so slow? its suppose to be almost as good as comcast, i know ppl that have WOW also and theres downloads way faster? my internet is real fast though but the higest i got was 90 kb/s thats horrible!

    Oh man do I love Charter. Pay too much for subpar service and products! I mean, I love how we get less than half of the upstream we pay for, and how our downstream changes constantly, even when nobody else is home in the neighborhood. Everywhere across the country people are getting free upgrades, and we get the same with ever-increasing prices. It's great! And the constant black outs! Oh do I love those
