Original Nintendo, still works but it's more of just nostalgia keeping it around
    Playstation 2 with NHL2k5, NFL2k5, NBA2k5, and GTA:SA.

I've got N64, Dreamcast, PS2 and I used to have a Super Nintendo but I sold it for $5. I kinda wish I could still play Mario from the 8 bit era (or whatever era that was) ;D

I had an Atari 130XE. I got it because it would also allow me to program in basic, and write it off onto a tape drive. I used it to make games for my friends. The only cartridge that I every really played in it was GORF. I wish I could find a modern version of that game somewhere.

After that, I didn't bother investing in a game system until the N64. I bought that, cause it had the only good 4-player games.

I bought a PS2 mostly so that I could play FFX (well worth the investment, especially after FFX2)

Then, most recently, I bought a 'Cube, cause it has the only good 4-player games

Except for the occasional RPG, games are more of a social activity for me, than a solo hobby.

Really? I thought FFX was alright, but FFX2 is driving me nuts. I've only played the first 30 minutes, and I'm about to go sell it back. If I see one more Charlie's Angels-like pose out of those girls, I'm gonna puke. But if I forced myself through the first two discs of FF8 before it got good, maybe I can make it a little farther in FFX2... :shakehead

NES - first console, lots of games but really enjoyed Super Mario 2-3, Duck Hunt, Excitebike, Captain Skyhawk, Wizards and Warriors 2, Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy, Mega Man 3, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, Sid Meier's Pirates, and Maniac Mansion.
Game Boy - huge title selection, I have a lot of games but really enjoyed Tetris, Alleyway, Final Fantasy Adventure, Final Fantasy Legend II, Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, and the original Pokemon.
N64 - second console, lingering brand loyalty to Nintendo since dissipated due to lackluster title selection. Enjoyed Blast Corps, Pilotwings 64, Mario 64 (the best Mario game imho), Forsaken (Descent clone!), Goldeneye, Mario Kart 64, and Diddy Kong Racing.
SNES - bought this for the explicit reason of playing Final Fantasy III/6. Later expanded collection to include Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy II/4, and Chrono Trigger.
PlayStation 2 - bought this after I became convinced Nintendo would never have another awesome RPG on their platform again.
I also have about as many computers as TheBaron, and he needs to deathmatch me at Descent 3 with khan and khan's brother soon.

It gets better. The whole game is kind-of silly (the advancement system is based on 'dresses' for cripes sake), but it's only in the beginning that it's as bad as that.

It starts to get really good when you get to cid and the airship (not actually a spoiler, since cid and his airship are in every FF game). Most of the game is non-linear, and quite fun.

Oh man. I got this game only several years ago, via an emulator. I need to remember to get it on the Revolution, because it's such an awesome game. Never finished it, but it hurts to keep playing on the keyboard.

I've got every Nintendo console since the NES, excluding Virtual boy - all working. I have owned (but no longer do for various reasons) original GB, GB Pocket, GB Color, and GB Advance. I want a DS but find myself without money. Soon to include the Revolution. Anything before the NES was before my time.

Come to think of it, I've never owned any home console that's not Nintendo, though I have played them in my house. (IE: friends bring them over)

If I had the money to get another console, it would have been a PS2. If I find myself with enough money in the next gen it will be a PS3. Screw Microsoft.

    Enough Nintendo for ya? /grin

    Oh yeah - 4 1/2 (/grin) computers right now

wow, someone else who likes ffx2... that makes 2 of us. ya some of it is kinda wierd by ff standards but the gameplay is awesome, i really like the battle system, and im glad they took out the sphere grid yuck. i have a 2600, nes, sega gen, had sega cd, had a ps2, and a n64. i got a ds for christmas and am unhappy with the games for it so far, most likely will sell it. i mostly play pc games fps and mmo, but i think im gunna tap that 360 when it comes out.

Speaking about Videogames does anyone know where I can find a really cool XBOX emulator that plays the games that I have bought on my PC in High Definition.

I want to take screen shots and really cool stuff. Post the pics on my wall and laugh at my friends every time they come over to see how I killed them in Halo 2 or Rainbow Six 3:black arrow (best game ever on xbox)

xbox discs cannot be read in a PC dvd rom drive. They are read by the xbox from the outside of the disc inward.

However, there IS a way to take screenshots while playing on the xbox. Here is a link to the xbox-scene tutorial on taking screen captures on the XBOX. Its a pain in the ass tho, and u have to have a modded xbox.

Actually, you can get a TV card for arouind $50, now, maybe cheaper...

You can use it to run the Xbox signal into your computer. It wont be much better quality than it would have been on the TV, but you can do screenshots pretty easy that way.

I used to do that with my DVD player/VCR to make anime screenshots for desktop backgrounds. However, I had a top-of-the-line TV card. I'm not sure how nice the picture looks on the $50 ones.
