I think that the "unknown device" has something to with the reason why my speakers arent working. I had to buy a new mobo because of a power surge, when i hooked everything up, everything was fine until i realized the speakers werent playing any sounds.

I have labtec pulse 475 speakers and a P4P800 SE mobo.

I don't think so, but with my old motherboard all i did was plug the speakers in and they worked.

But that was your old motherboard. Has little to do with THIS MB in real life. Now get out the cd with drivers that came with your new MB. The MB manual has directions on installing drivers. Even for the stuff that kinda seems to work they usually work BETTER with all the drivers from that CD.

You can probably just throw it in and follow the onscreen directions also as it will autorun.

Or go to that device in the device manager and click on update driver and let it search for a new driver with the MB's driver cd in the drive.
