I remember reading about some Short-media band. Well, if you're not already aware, there's ninjam. It's an online jamming server. Anyone with a net hookup can jam together in "real time"

NINJAM is a program to allow people to make real music together via the Internet. Every participant can hear every other participant. Each user can also tweak their personal mix to his or her liking. NINJAM is cross-platform, with clients available for Mac OS X and Windows.

I've played with a couple of buddies and its works pretty well. Just have to get used to it.

If I had any musical talent whatsoever I would definately try that.
I wonder if there is any lag... One would think even a small pocket of lag could throw the tempo off.
