A64 Driver Question

I'm running an AMD64 3700+ San Diego on a DFI Lanparty NF4 SLI-DR. I noticed AMD has an Athlon 64 Processor Driver. The system has been running great for weeks with XP Pro SP2, but should I install this driver as well? If so, what does it do?
