Hi Guys,

I have just gone out and purchased the Musical Version of "The War of the Worlds" (www.thewaroftheworlds.com in case you are interested) because it comes with 5.1 surround sound.

Disk came today and I found that it is a Super Audio CD that is recognised as a standard cd and will not play as 5.1 through my pc only my home DVD player, aaaaaaahhhhhhhh. I dont want to listen to it downstairs I want to listen on my PC.

Does anyone know of any way to get round this or of any software that works.

Well googled and there doesn't seem to be a dvd drive that plays SACD. :-/

Ah - looks like that's related to the fact that (some) SACDs are multiple layers, and you'd need a drive to read the other channels (which aren't in the first layer).
