While other brands of PC4000 could only achieve 250MHz FSB / 500MHz DDR, OCZ's PC4000 Gold took me all the way to 280MHz FSB / 560MHz DDR! I even saw 300MHz FSB / 600MHz DDR, but Windows XP kept crashing at the desktop. What is even more amazing is that I'm running at 3.36GHz at default voltages with the motherboard tweaked for performance!

PC4000 memory is very new, but these very overclockable P4 "C" processors can use every bit of bus speed you can throw at them. Therefore, no P4 "C" system is complete without DDR4000. From what I've seen so far, the only company out there who is delivering true PC4000 is OCZ. However, I'm sure in a few weeks or months, other companies will perfect their so called PC4000 and OCZ will actually have some competition. Regardless, OCZ's PC4000 Gold stands alone and will be the highest rated DDR ever tested at Club Overclocker!

    Conclusions:

The Kingston HyperX memory runs great at 500MHz but our sample modules would not overclock much higher, making it to 506MHz DDR. This brings up an interesting point, just because this memory is designed to run at PC4000 speeds does not mean it will be able to overclock a lot higher. You have to keep in mind that this memory is already "overclocked" since current standards only recognize PC3200. Maybe the Kingston memory just has a problem with our ABIT board but we will do some more testing on the ASUS P4C800 just to double check.
