Removing My Web Search and Search Assistance

I have My Web Search and Search Assistance installed on two different computers. Their web site says to remove them simply go into the Control Panel and remove them from the Add/Remove Programs. When I do that a blank screen pops up and nothing happens. I am lost on what else to do to uninstall these two programs from the computers. Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you.

    Post a Hijack This log. There are many files that come with HSA. Please do not reboot your system at this time if you can avoid it. If in fact you have HSA everytime you reboot the files that come with this infection will change names.
