title is fairly self explanatory, what's the best cooling for a socket A board with no mounting holes? will an SLK900A do the trick?

How very good must it be? I'm sure the SLK will suit anything but a greatly passionate OC.

I went with the Thermalright SI-97a with a panaflo 92mm fan.

They arrived today and after installation I am pretty pleased with it. I can finally stand my case upright! The HS is also very light compared to my SLK-800, but so far is cooling admirably.

As far as where to buy SLK900's now, your best bet is probably ebay or some other auction site as they are not sold retail anymore. The SI-97's are the only Socket A HS thermalright has out right now.

Only one of these, the SI-97a, is compatible with Socket A. But it's an awesome HS. The prices from that website are a bit high.

I got mine at Sidewinder Computers (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com)

SI-97a with a Panaflo 92mm fan (The high-speed 57CFM version) was $43.90. Shipping was $6.85, and it got here 2 days later (USPS).
