Panasonic offers a LF D521 and Buy.com offered me one for a net after-rebate price of $109.00.
Deal works like this:
Panasonic's suggested Retail is about $273.00
Buy.com has them on sale for $199.00
Buy.com has negotiated a rebate which is mail-in and comes from Panasonic of $90.00.
Net price is $109.00 as stated.
Rebate is good for purchases made between now and October 31, 2003.
This is a DVD-RAM/DVD-RW drive, and is capable of "reading and writing DVD-R, DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, CD-R and CD-RW discs," and "the LF-D521 can also play DVD-ROM, DVDVideo, DVD-Audio and CD-ROM discs." (according to Buy.com's description).
