CPU. running at 100%,constantly,need help?

I dont no why, but my comp has started running very slow. I have run all the usual spywear and antivirus but this does'nt seem to make any difference. now it's restarting by itself, programs wont open,even the smallest of tasks it finds difficult. i opened task manager to check whats going on and found my cpu running at 100% even when ive got nothing running is this right. if not, i dont no what else to do. also when comp has restarted i get a windows message saying comp has recovered from a serious error. please help, thankyou.

    What is the name of the task thats taking all the CPU?
