iTunes for Windows due next month

Newsweek has reported that Apple expects to release iTunes for Windows next month.
"Apple has quietly informed some music insiders that it’s moved up the date for expanding its current Mac-only iTunes for the vast universe of Windows-based PCs to mid-October," as it discusses the recent lawsuits by the record companies against individuals and the future of music: "Technology is creating new markets for music as well. The music giants are banking on an exploding U.S. market for dialing up music on cell phones—in effect, you would use your phone as a portable player. It’s already a multibillion-dollar business in Europe and Japan."

But the <s>lemmings</s> <s>blindly-following idiots</s> <s>ignorant fools</s> <s>people who are lead around like total tools</s> Mac users love it.
Like most things that are Apple, and crappy.

Anything can work on everything as long as there is software to decode it.

Heh. Did you do the Yellow Taxi test? (Sample Set 1).
I thought 3 of them sounded really crap, 1 was quite bad, 1 was noticable but not annoying, and the rest sounded fine (though not all perfect). Though I did pass the ABX tests everytime I took them. I think I just have sensitive hearing.
