Can't load XP SP3

I tried downloading the SP updates using the auto update feature on my computer. Ran into problems loading SP3. I went to msn and burned a copy to download directly to my computer.
I get an error to the effect of: wextract_cleanup0 rundll32.exe - not found
and the download stops right there. any suggestions on getting SP3 loaded?
I currently have SP1.

Try downloading the full installer instead of using the net install. You can find it here:

PS: SP2 is the latest service pack from microsoft for XP. There is no SP3 yet.

Recently I had that same problem with sp3. for some reason it would never
quite download all like it should you know? so after a couple of attemps that
failed miserable i might add, I finally called Microsoft and they very willingly
sent me a copy by snail mail. Which till this day is working rather well. call them up and have them send you one. Hope this Helps :

I'm also curious why the hell everyone keeps trying to install "Service Pack 3 for XP" as the only SP3 for XP is for Office XP, not Windows XP.... maybe that's why it doesn't work. :rolleyes2

Good Job. There is no SP3 for windows xp lol. I mean i dont think there ever will be at the rate microsoft is going.
