Can anyone help? I have recently been hit with this fairly annoying virus and nothing seems to shift it. I have installed multiples Spyware removers and anti virus programs to no avail.

Norton Antivirus 2005 keeps popping up all the time reminding me it's there, I removed it from regedit after booting into safe mode, as regedit would close whenever I opened it in normal mode.

    You have been infected with the smitfraud trojan. The sooner we deal with this the better.

    Boot into safe mode. To enter safe mode>reboot your system>tap F8 at the start up screen until a menu appears>select "safe mode with networking" from the menu.

    Run Panda software's activescan.

    I fixed the problem thanks guys all done through safe mode and alot of hard work, if it recurs in any way I shall return seeking your wisdom ^.^
