hidden system folder

I am currently in the process of removing hsa virsus, and when I attempt to see my system files( I suspect that a couple of trojan horses reside there) I am unable. I've changed the settings via the folder options in the tools section, but to no avail. Anyone else have this problem, or any solutions? Is this perhaps another symptom of evil in my computer? Thank you for any assistance.
