Intel Cuts Prices on Pentium 4 630/640

According to unspecified motherboard makers, Intel will cut prices on August 14th. It is said that they will increase the price cuts from a March 10th report to better compete with Athlon 64 Processors.
The new cuts have the price of the P4 640 falling to US$218, while the P4 630 will drop to US$178.

In addition, Intel will introduce Pentium 4 662/672 processors for desktop PCs in the fourth quarter of this year.
