'found new hardware' on startup but i dont know what for

i attempted to install a program on my computer but it stopped halfway through and my computer restarted

after it went through checking the discs (which were found to be ok) i got a found new hardware message

apparently it is looking for software for the hardware named 'system'

im baffled as to what is going on can someone help me!

    resolved

    i went into device manager and it had added some hardware device

    i removed that and so far so good
