I finaly decided t quit being lazy and built a tester psu out of an old 250watt (125 rated watts) psu. Which actually being as its capacity was so small turned out to be a good thing, i was easily able to just trim a paperclip to fit the mobo header so that it would turn on. and then i took the cover off and shoved the header inside the psu. making sure not to block the heatsinks.

Now all i have coming out of it are 8 wires 2 - 12 volt, 2- 5 volt and 4 grounds. i have the molex connectors but i gotta go get some heat shrink to splie 'em all together, but right now i have a fan (i wont say the word) rigged to the wires and its holding steady, good voltages too. have a multimeter on it and the voltages dont fluctuate and they are just about on 12 volts, havent checked the 5 volt rail yet. turning out to be a pretty smooth test compared to some ive seen with the header hangin out with electrical tape wraped around it????
