Here's a list of the folders I have running now

AMD 2500 Barton
Abit NF7S v1
512 hyperX ddr pc2700

AMD 2100 tbred
Asus A7n8x v2
512 hyperx pc2700

AMD 2100 tbred
Epox 8RGA+ v1
512 micron pc2700

AMD 1700 tbred
MSI KT3V v1
256 ddr pc2700

AMD 1600 Palomino
ECS K7S5A v1
256 ddr pc2700

and what's coming today-
AMD 1.4 tbird?
Biostar M7VIZ
256 ddr pc2100

I'm thinking about switching around a couple cpus to make them the best they can be.

I originaly had an Asus A7n8x v1 with a 2100 tbred that was OC'ed by 500 points. That was until I bought the Barton and slapped it in the Asus, and the mobo promptly died.
RMA'ed it and they sent me a V2.

The V2 should be able to handle the Barton, right?
I'm a little leary of the combo now.

The A7N8X 2.0 will run any Barton just fine, even the 400 fsb 3200's. You shouldn't have any problems at all, BDR.:)

You could bump that up to 3200+ speeds prolly.

which board has the most power and cooling? The 1.4 TB will be hard on the mobo, but mine both do 1.6 (when the basement is cool).

I wouldn't mess with the top two, I am sure that they cook fine. With the others you may want to try and figure out what is limiting your OC, the mobo, the ram or CPU. If you have stuff that doesn't want to OC you could put it together. Let the stuff that can run work together.

You should just build a Yattamonster, BDR. :)

If I had the funds right now I think I'd do it, but unfortunately other needs are pressing on my thinning wallet.

    maybe S-M21????
Finding enough matching equipment could be a problem.
There used to be a number of these running SETE
Makes you wonder what they are doing now?

It sure would help in reducing space needed for towers.

I got to ask a question though.

When you put together a build without a case, how do you work the Power switch, since you have no power button?

in a side note- Fed Ex was just here and I have the stuff for the next build, aka Folder.

Ok, looks good, the most important thing that almost everyone overlooks is changing the user id to DanG, that's capital D, small an, and big G.

BDR: I use a screwdriver, anything metal will work, and touch the 2 pins together that connect to your front power switch. All you do when you press the button is bridge the 2 pins. Same thing works with a screwdriver.
