Anandtech says the launch of its upcoming top performing R520 "XT" and R520 "XT" Crossfire cards will come in October with the "XL" version arriving first in early September. Both the "XT" versions will be dual slot cards.

Master Crossfire versions of the X8xx series cards are also expected in September.

Riiight. Not one single Crossfire card is even on shelves yet, and it was announced months ago. Sorry ATi, nVidia's playing hardball here... at least stop the ball with your face if you can't catch it.

I read that they have done several die changes since the first samples were let out. Hopefully to be able to compete with NVIDIA once it actually comes out.

Yeah, I read that they are having power leakage problems with the .09 process on the new gpu's.

One good thing about ATI having problems though is that there are some good deals out there on their premium vid cards right now. I just bought an AGP Sapphire X800XT-PE from ZZF for $229.00 delivered. :D I'll give up a little performance to keep a couple hundred bucks in my pocket.

Well ATI would not be the first to have problems with leakage at 90nm.

I would rather wait and get a solid product than have something sub par rushed out on the market. ATI isn't Intel ya know.
