Apple has released a large security update for its Mac OS X operating system, handing out a bagful of fixes for 44 flaws in the system.
The fixes, released Monday, are mostly trivial with only a few of the lot being something to worry about. Secunia told CNET that 25% of the patches released are for fixing older vulnerabilities that have yet to lead to malicious code being written by attackers - however, Secunia still rates the update as critical.
