i need a quiet keyboard!

i type late at night and my mum is getting upset cos their room is next to mine and all they can hear is tap tap tap tap!!!!!!!

i need one that is fairly quiet in operation so i dont wake everyone up

any recommendations?

my keyboard is cheap and makes a real racket and its even getting on my nerves now

    .... not sure how quiet you can get a keyboard, but any decent keyboard over $20 should be built better and make less noise. as well as have some function keys such as volume and media control.

    i just turned 20 actually so im officially NOT a teenager :D

    my keyboard is really cheap and noisy so most keyboards will be better but is there anything with like rubber keys or something or just one that is high quality that someone can recommend?

    also if it helps im not really too bothered if its wireless or not as the keyboard rarely leaves the desk
    (only exception to that rule being if i put my media player on random play and leave the room to change or something, in which case i use the media buttons to flick through tracks :thumbsup: )

    logitech keyboards are pretty quiet, i have the wireless LX700 combo that has the wireless mouse and wireless keyboard, its pretty quiet. I know dell used to make "quietsoft" or was it "quietype" keyboards.. microsofts keyboards are pretty loud though. at least my cheap 1 was

    the f-keys on that one suck. Go to compusa and try out keyboard till you find a quieter one.
