I don't have anything (that I know of). However, it's nice to clean things up a bit once in awhile, and/or have someone who knows what they're doing take a look :)

Is it really necessary to have 7 svchost.exe's? They're using up a total of probably 25 megs, which seems unnecessary. Things I don't understand/think could go I've put in red - if it is a critical process, please let me know :)

Can I get rid of winlogon.exe, since I never log off, only shutdown?

    Run HiJackThis then:

    1. Click "Open the Misc Tools Section"
    2. Click "Open Process manager"

    -

    Next, while holding down the CTRL key, locate (if present) and click on (highlight) each of the following:

    C:\Program Files\SigX\SigX.exe

    Now double-check and make sure that only those item(s) above are highlighted, then click "Kill process". Now, click "Refresh", check again, and repeat this step if any remain.

    ===============

    Still in HiJackThis, click "Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:


    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [SigX] C:\Program Files\SigX\SigX.exe


    Now, close all instances of Internet Explorer and any other windows you have open except HiJackThis, click "Fix checked".

    ===============

    Locate and delete the following item(s), if present. Make sure you are able to view system and hidden files/ folders:

    folders...

    C:\Program Files\SigX

    -

    Note that some of these file(s)/folder(s) may or may not be present. If present, and cannot be deleted because they're 'in use', try deleting them in "Safe Mode".

    Reboot.

    No, I actually know what SigX is. It's what generates (or send the information for) the image in my sig. No worries there :)

    Could you explain what GEARsec.exe is, and what it does? And why do I need so many svchost.exe's?

    CastleCops is not the only security site that lists sigx as bad, that's why I listed it :). If you are happy with it, cool :).

    As for svchost, from answers that work;
    There can be many instances of SVCHOST running, as there will be one instance of SVCHOST for every DLL-based service or grouping of services

    gearsec.exe according to sysinfo;
    Installed by Apple Quicktime package - iPod/iTunes CDRW support. Can be disabled if you only require Quicktime player
