abit nf7-s v2, i have a 36gb raptor. when windows was installed on it there was an additional 60gb ata drive in there, now when i tried to remove the ata drive and boot into windows it wont, and when i go into windows setup it wont even detect the raptor when i have the 60gb unplugged. if i plug the raptor and the 60 in it works fine and win setup sees the raptor... wth?

is the boot sector written to the 60gb drive instead of the raptor?

I would say low-level format both drives and start with just the raptor in there.

And I am assuming that you have the sata driver on a floppy and are hitting F6 during windows setup to install third party drivers...?

Low level? Oh for gosh sakes? Why?

Unlug the regular ide. Make sure you have the bios set right to boot from the raptor and run a repair install. There are faster ways to fix it but this is really easy.... takes 30 minutes and is easy to do.... your basicaly doing in a really long way what going to the recovery console and using "fixmbr", "fixboot", and "bootcfg" could do in a fraction of the time.
