Help Needed

My computer is infected with ABI or something like it and i keep getting popups from icannews.com. However, IE gets an error and closes every time it opens up and firefox won't load at all. Here is my latest log file:

Ad-Aware SE 1.06 and Spybot Search & Destroy. Save the setup files to your desktop or another convenient location. Run the setup files for each of these programs. When setup is complete for Ad-Aware open it and update it with the latest file definitions and then exit Ad-Aware for now. While setting up Spybot you will be asked if you want to update now. Click search for updates then click download all available updates. When setup is complete exit this for now.


Reboot into safe mode. To enter safe mode reboot your computer and tap the F8 button when the start up screen appears. A menu will appear, select safe mode from the menu.

Run Hijack This and place a checkmark next to these entries then click Fix Checked. Be sure all other open windows are closed before proceeding:

Delete these files or directories if they exist:

Now run a full system scan with Ad-Aware SE and Spybot Search & Destroy. Remove all files found.



Reboot into normal mode.

Open Hijack This. Do a system scan only. In the lower left hand corner of the screen click the CONFIG button. Then click MISC TOOLS. Click the DELETE an NT SERVICE. Then type or copy and paste this into the field:

Command Service

Then click ok. Exit HJT when this process is complete.

If there are any files located but not disinfected by one of these scans please let me know that in your next post.
