Mack, what's the difference between these 2 kits?

edited August 2005 in Hardware
Mack, I'm looking to get a DC kit for my 9NDA3+ and I was looking at the egg and came across 2 different DDR600 kits. One is about $30 cheaper than the other. Here's links to OCZ's site on the 2 kits:

1. http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_el_ddr_pc_4800_dual_channel_platinum_elite_edition

2. http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_el_ddr_pc_4800_dual_channel_platinum

As you can see, both kits come with the same ram timings at DDR600 listed. But the more expensive one lists TCCD chips by name and the cheaper one doesn't. Is the cheaper one using TCC5 instead? I'm looking to get me an X2 3800+ in the near future along with this and want to run 1:1 ratios with the ram, so I need to know which of those 2 kits will most likely hang with me at high ram speeds on my 9NDA3+ board. Also, have you tested either of them on a 9NDA3+ board?

TIA for the help.:)

    Hi buddy,

I am getting the detalis on what is what, but i know for sure that the Elite has TCCD and the "regular" DDR600 also had TCCD, but things might have changed lately without that i know the details. I'll get back to you asap.

    Edit/

The Elite is tested at 2,2,2,5 for 200 as well which the the other kit isn't. The other kit have TCC5 which is exactly the same chips but they are not tested at 250 from Samsung. That's the only difference between TCCD and TCC5.

They perform the same at high fsb, but TCCD is double-tested and they do 2,2,2,5 as well.

I appreciate that Mack. It will probably be a few weeks before my upgrade on the EPoX board; waiting to get some bucks back from the state. :D
