Care to give us at least a little idea what that is all about? Considering it seems they don't give you any information before you sign up...
Quoted for truth. I'm curious, but am not going to waste 5 minutes of my life registering for something just to decide that I don't like it and then quit it. So what the hell is it? Can you give us screenshots?
The reason I did it that way, is cause the best way to see what it is about is to sign up. It's tough to explain without making it sound dumb...
Basically, each player has at least on character. This character is the manager of a fighting team. As the team wins matched and earns exp and $, the player can upgrade their stats and equipment. The game has no caps to any of the skills or abilities, but it puts the players on a huge ladder, and allows you to fight only the teams that are close to yours in power, of course if you fight above your own rank there is profit in it, and if you fight below, then there are stronger penalties for loosing.
The amount of money and experience that you get is based on a comparason between the opponent's rank, and your power rating. Your power is increased by adding expencive equipment to the party, so to earn more money, you have to try to stick to items and bonuses that don't raise your power rating too high.
All of the battles are automated. One player challenges another player, and the batle is resolved in seconds, with a play-by-play to give the details if you want to know. It's all text-based on the web, so it's super quick.
I think the part I like most about it is that you can play for any amount of time. If I have two hours to kill at the school, and no papers to grade, this can be a nice diversion, but if I just have a couple of minutes before I have to leave in the morning, I can log in, fight a handful of battles, and be done.... In otherwords, there is no minimum required time investment per session, like there is for most games.
I'm enjoying experimenting witrh the advancement system to find a team that is efficient. My latest experiment is a team that all four have Unarmed Combat skill, to cut down on equipment, and all have the Giant Strength spell, which boosts ally attacks. So each all of them are being boosted three times. It's working pretty well so far, but I have a feeling it wont last forever.
