Forgotten thread. Just need a quick checkup please :D

Hey I have a thread that I guess got lost in the plethra of stuff you guys deal with... No worries!

Just ran adaware and got several objects come up... And few that had to be cleaned on restart (do to programs that were probably running)... One thing did concern me:

There was an object that had a TAC rating of 10 it was called VX2 and had 26 objects under it.... Should I be concerned?

When I ran spybot it also alerted me of a possible browser hijack attempt! WTF?

After cleansing my system with those programs, My Task Manager is still running like I have a virus! There are no options I can choose or tabs on my task manager. I have concluded through my time using computers, that it is a good sign of a virus (but you guys are the experts).


Maybe together we can figure this out, and I greatly appreciate your tireless efforts in this seemingly futile battle against this crap.

And I can't get rid of the "Auruora browser" that is responsible for so many popups.

    Thanks for bumping this topic back up. Normally we don't like it when users do that, but there is some data in this log that can be used in the file database.

    Hey, yeah sorry about the bump, but at least it worked in your favor :D Does it bump if you just edit?

    I followed instructions... But I couldn't find any of those files except for:

    C:\WINDOWS\umwxdvk.EXE but it looked like this

    C:\WINDOWS\umwxdvk.EXE-3003B61D.pf

    EDIT Did that, and still getting massive amounts of popups on a browser called "Aurora"... And getting popups on IE too... sigh...
