kvm audio and mouse/keyboard problem
Hi all,
I’ve got two PC’s with specs as follows: -
Computer A = Dell Dimension 8100 Pentium 4 1.3GHz, 128 Mb of RAM and the operating system is ME.
Computer B = Dell Dimension 4500 Pentium 4 2GHz, 512 Mb of RAM and the operating system is XP.
Last night I attached both to a KVM Switch (EmineNT with built in audio cables – EM-210CPA).
Here are my problems: -
1. If I power up Computer B first the keyboard and mouse will not respond and I will be stuck at the log in screen. This can only be resolved by powering down B and starting up Computer A first. I can then start up B straight away and everything is fine.
2. The audio will only work on one system (which one seems to be random) when I power up both PC’s. When I switch between systems I can still hear the sounds from the other PC.
Any help would be great. I haven’t a clue what to do.
Thanks.
