Ram Question

I already have a gig of PC400 ram in my computer. But i have another gig of PC2100 Lieing around not being used. I have the slots for another gig but would it make a diffrence to add the PC2100?

    If the machine boots, it'll clock down to the slower ram unless you force it higher. But, if you force it higher it probably won't go anywhere near as high as it was before. Therefore, I believe you're better off without it if speed is your object. If, however you're needing 2 Gigs of ram for a particular job or program to run smoothly, then the slower clock but greater ram may work OK. Your choice.
