I downloaded DirectX 9.0c which is the latest DirectX and when i install it, somehow it said "Installation Complete. The Components installed are now ready to use" but i didn't even see anything run or installing. After i click next, then after 1 sec, it said "Finish". I check for the DirectX Version with run program (dxdiag) and the version listed there is still the old 1. DirectX 8.1.
How do i upgrade my DirectX? Is there something i missed? Actually i'm installing DirectX 9.0c in order to enable me to play GunZ Online which only computer that run DirectX 9.0c can play it.

I'll looking forward for any help and guide available here. Hope i'm in the right place. Thanks for taking your time to help...

No your hardware is direct X 8.1 it cant render a higher api.

However The minimum for the game is direct X 6 (They still support the riva ;D ).

My advice would be reinstall the videocard driver then try again.
